Being a plastic Paddy I luurrrvvveeee potatoes and could quite happily eat them in some form or other for every meal. Oddly enough the only version of spuds that my children will eat are chips; clearly the Irish genes are too far diluted.
Jersey Royals are the best of course, and if you ever find them in Dubai give me a SHOUT!

Was delighted to find some in Spinneys this time last year, shelled out an eyewatering 29 Dhs a kilo for them, and was bitterly disappointed - tired, soft, bruised and muddy tasting. Not at all good.
Go instead to Nils' fine Organic emporium, and see if he has any Nicola, Estima, Lady Balfour and Peerless, all of which were delicious and less than 7 dhs a kilo...
