Food in Season - June

Summer time and the living is easy.....

This is the second instalment in a continuing series about seasonal produce.

Summer is upon us and the month of June continues with bountiful produce and the food in season in the more temperate climes at the moment is:

Artichoke
Asparagus
Aubergine
Courgettes
New Potatoes
Runner beans
Spring onions
Turnips

Gooseberries
Strawberries

Lamb
Pigeon

Crab
Mackerel
Plaice
Sea Trout

Please do use the search facility on the right to look up recipes with these ingredients but over the next few days I’ll try and add a few more new ones for some of these lovely goodies.
