Red Chilli & Garlic Chutney

A warm pappadum chutney and a good accompaniment for meat kebabs, too. This, as you will deduce from the amount of chillies in it, packs a kick like a mule on PCP.

Ingredients

  • 8 dried whole red chillies
  • 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 small tomato, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • A little vegetable oil

Grind all the ingredients together into a smooth paste: adding a little oil. If you don't fancy using a mortar and being all traditional, like, then just whizz it!
