I suppose you can toast them but it would change the flavour considerably I am sure. <BR/><BR/>My thoughts are that if you are using the pesto merely as a condiment (stirring into cooked veggies for example), then I reckon toasted would be okay. If you are using the pesto in a dish like the spaghetti one below I don't think it would taste quite right.<BR/><BR/>Hmmm, good question really!
